Yes, it is possible to sell the boat at any time during the leasing contract. Several options are open to you:
- If the buyer does not wish to take over the leasing contract, you must settle the finance on your boat so as to become owner of it prior to selling it to a private individual or a broker.
- If the buyer accepts to take over the leasing contract, we will study the proposition and transfer the contract after accepting the new client’s file, and following the expiry of the legal period of retraction. Within the framework of a transfer of a marine leasing, the initial charterer is not liable for the balance of the contract and the new charterer benefits from the leasing contract which was initially subscribed to.
